A love for all animals
I have been involved with and owned horses, dogs, cats, rats and rabbits from a very early age. I started my first job in local veterinary practice at the ripe old age of 15, and almost immediately I knew that veterinary nursing was my vocation.
A few years later I had managed to save enough to buy my first horse ‘Star’. It was because of Star and my desire to have him close to me at home that I moved to Crooklands Bungalow, which had 3 acres of land, 3 stables with a hay shed – my absolute dream!

Being closer to home
I had worked as head nurse in several veterinary practices over the years and loved working within every team, but I always had a hankering to work from home so that I could spend more time with my ever increasing 4 legged family of horses, goats, dogs and cats.
In 2007, Crooklands Cattery was finally built and I had my first cats come to stay in the December. After being established for over 17 years, I still love meeting and greeting all my existing customers and welcoming lots of new faces too.
